They invite a ton of people, sell a ton of tickets, and go all out to provide the best ambiance, entertainment, and venue for their guests.<\/p>\n<p>At last year\u2019s party, ticket prices ranged from $750 for those lucky enough to get general admission tickets&#8230; to $38,500 for VIP tables just moments before the event. Over 4,500 people showed up to the big bash.<\/p>\n<p>Maxim\u2019s 2017 party took place in the new Smart Financial Centre, a performing arts venue located in the well-to-do Houston suburb of Sugar Land. No joke, that\u2019s the name of the town.<\/p>\n<p>Why there? What was the party planners\u2019 vision exactly? Karma International\u2019s CEO boasts that Maxim\u2019s pre-game event is the coolest of the bunch for ten years running, \u201cbecause you have fashion, art, and beautiful women all under one roof.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hmmm, yeah, it\u2019s definitely the \u201cart.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But they did get the Monster Energy motocross team to perform stunts and jumps from BMX ramps outside the venue to wow the crowd&#8230; even if that does seem ridiculous and a bit unnecessary for a party that\u2019s mostly indoors. Why the hell not?!<\/p>\n<p>There were tons of models, girls in lingerie, and dancers on podiums to pose with guests\u2026 but Maxim threw some shirtless male models in the mix too for the satisfaction of all involved. Seems fair. (And perfect for your Instagram of the night.)<\/p>\n<p>What about the atmosphere? How do you turn a venue that big into a warm, elegant, and <del>welcoming<\/del> writhing party? Well, go-go dancers, a scandalous dress code, a good DJ, and several open bars tend to help. And there were private(ish) VIP tables spread throughout the venue for those that could afford them. And not only did Maxim hire dancers to get the people hype during those concerts, but they had aerialists suspended in mid-air. <em>Yeah&#8230; fancy.<\/em> Maxim doesn\u2019t do anything halfway.<\/p>\n<p>So what was the dress code for guests, both famous and just-happy-to-be-there? Most men made it a casual evening, though some slipped into suits, and many of the women wore evening gowns\u2026 those who weren\u2019t in lingerie, of course.<\/p>\n<p>Bud Light and Monster Energy were sponsors, along with Absolut Elyx and Tequila Av\u00edon who poured specialty cocktails all night. The \u201c2017 MAXIM Party ARt Exhibit\u201d was sponsored by Airea, ya know, just to make sure they appealed to the artistic and cultured on their guest list. This futuristic art exhibit contained 3D painted art and mixed media where attendees could interact with their smartphones. Guys, they even had their own app for the party! Come on!<\/p>\n<p>And there was a fun little Zippo Car there to take pics with. Gotta ration that battery so you can Snap all your friends about the party of a lifetime, right?<\/p>\n<p>More concerned about the celebs in attendance? Don\u2019t worry, there were plenty. Lil Bow Wow was there, along with Fergie and Ludacris (who notoriously loves this party). Former Playmate and reality TV star Kendra Wilkinson showed up with her husband, Hank Baskett, who used to play for the Vikings.
